I don’t know how widespread this story was, but we live very close to where Laura Smithers, an 8th grader, was abducted. She was found dead days later. I can’t imagine the grief that the family felt. In her honor, they launched the Laura Recovery Center, which pools together resources to search for missing children–especially in those first, critical 48 hours. My heart goes out to the parents of Elizabeth and Lyric. Thanks for honoring them here, Stacy.

Yes it is. I can understand the criminal mind – to an extent – but child killers are beyond my comprehension. Absolutely!

This is a sad story that is unfortuneately repeated all over the continent. But God loves all the little children and judges their slayers harshly as will the courts, I’m sure when he or they are caught.
