Anne,
I’m so sorry I’m just now seeing your comment! I’ve neglected my website while finishing Hyde and Seek. Thank you so much for sharing your story with me. As hard as losing Mom has been, I can’t imagine losing my husband. Prayers to your cousin and to you. And to lose her brother as well! I’ve gone through that, and it’s awful. As for your mom, I am so sorry. Not being with her when she died was one of my greatest fears. She went into cardiac arrest in the nursing home, and altho they did revive her at the hospital and she was technically alive, I think she was long gone. So I understand where you’re coming from, and I’m so sorry. I hope you are doing well and surrounded by people who will help you through!
Stacy

I could just see the blows crashing into you as you were struggling to get up again and again. Like the others who have written, I have also come through a season of loss. My cousin, who is closer than a sister, lost her beloved husband who died in his sleep totally unexpectedly. I traveled from Florida to be with her and two weeks later, her brother also died in his sleep, again totally unexpectedly. The following week my mother had another stroke and was unresponsive. It was a two day trip to get there and there was no way I could go. I never imagined that I wouldn’t be with her when she died and it just about tore me apart.

We all go through these difficult times and it doesn’t seem like we can make it, but somehow we do, even if it is only by the grace of God.

Thank you for sharing your story. I am sure that some future day I will be in a similar place again and will remember it.

OMG, I am so very sorry. There is no pain like losing a child. My mother lost two sons, but they were adults. I cannot imagine something happening to my daughter. I’m glad you have found support and solace despite the tragedy and hatefulness you’ve dealt with.

And yes, of course, prayers are always welcome. Thank you so much for your kind words and comments about my writing. Take care!

Hi, I’m sorry it took me a while to approve and reply. I’m so sorry for your loss! I can’t imagine losing both my parents so close together. Mom actually passed away April 10, and we are just trying to find a new normal. Lots of ups and downs, as I’m sure you understand. And sorry to hear about your physical pain! That is rough to deal with. I hope you can find treatment to ease it.
Thanks so much for your comment and for joining!

I am so very sorry for all you have been through. I can relate, though in a different way, as June 17th will be the 11th birthday we will observe without my youngest daughter here to enjoy it. She passed away in early 2006, due to what was ruled to be an accidental overdose of medications that she was prescribed to treat severe headaches. She took a veritable cocktail of medications that were respiratory depressions. The conclusion was that she accidentally double dosed. I know well that feeling of despair. I am also very familiar with being judged and accused by others who had no clue as to what was really going on amd betrayal by those I trusted. However, I also found support in some of the most unlikely places. I turned to rosary making to help heal my wounded heart and soul. Chrystal would have turned 30 this year. Other people tell me they can’t imagine such a thing. Guess what. I can’t imagine it either, even 11 1/2 years later.

I am glad that you have a loving and supportive husband. Mine has been my rock. If you don’t mind, I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Channel that energy into your writing. You have a wonderful and creative mind. I can’t wait to swe what you come up with next. Sending love, hugs and prayers.

Anna-Marie

I lost my dad in 2008, was so devastating to me, I was very close to him. My mom fell ill end of 2015, I lived with her from February 2016 until she passed mid August. Cancer took both my parents, has left me with two holes in my heart 😥 I was in a car accident in 2011, which left me dealing with spinal issues, fibromyalgia, my body is in pain every day... I don't know how I was able to care for my mom, but I persevered 😊 Anyway, I have a great support system in my husband as well as my children. My two grandsons also have made life bearable 😊 I'm very blessed. Although being parent less in my early 50's is definitely a challenge. I hope all gets better for you. Thank you so much! I know I don’t say it enough, but your positive attitude through all of the cancer and sickness has really inspired me. I’m very excited about the end result! I came up with some twisted stuff today. 😉

Not because of the bad stuff that happened, but because you are learning that just because bad stuff happens doesn’t mean you have to stay in that moment. And that any naysayers are simply background noise to be ignored.

Keep on going and let the light lead you. I’m very much looking forward to the end result.
