Manic Monday: BIG NEWS!

I’m so excited to finally be able to announce my debut novel, INTO THE DARK, will be released by MuseItUpPublishing in November! It will be available in ebook format with paperback released at a later date.

I still can’t believe it’s happening. I’ve spent a lot of time wondering what’s best for me in this ever changing industry. Should I continue to hold out for an agent when small presses were interested? Should I self-publish and learn on the fly? I finally decided that a small press with strong editors and a close-knit author community was the perfect place for me to take my first step into the publishing world.

I’m truly excited to be included among a talented group of authors that include Larion Wills, Joylene Nowell Butler, Heather Haven, Cyrus Keith, and many more.

I have to give major thanks to Catie Rhodes, my critique partner and voice of reason. More thanks to Donna Galanti, Melissa Foster, and TJ Proofs for their patience and encouragement, as well as the entire #Row80 crew for their unwavering support. And a special thanks to my best friend, Kristine Kelly. Without her I would have never started down this writing road.

Of course, THANK YOU to Lea and Nancy at MuseItUp for believing in me. I can’t wait to share INTO THE DARK with you all in November!

  17. True crime fanatic? A perfect passion for writing a best-selling suspense/thriller. Congratulations, Stacy!

If you ever need fodder, my attic has boxes, many boxes filled with my husband’s old case files. I keep nagging him to get down the cold case files, but he shrugs on his way out the door to golf. Think of it! Thirty-four years of files during his stints in homicide, S.W.A.T., Tactical…

There’s probably enough there to keep a true crime fanatic on the NYT bestselling list for decades. Congrats, again. I’m happy for you!
